Updates This page is designed to inform you of any updates on events or information you might find helpful. The next regular meeting of the MCWRA will be on Saturday May 31, 2008 at the State Capital Building in Jefferson City. The Executive Meeting will commence at 9:00 A.M. The Regular Meeting will start at 10:00 A.M. UPDATES TO POLICIES AND BYLAWS from the Jan 26 meeting These are a synopsis of the changes. For exact wording go to the appropriate Policies or Bylaws section 1. Bylaw change: To be eligible to run for the positions of President-elect or member of the Board of Directors in the annual elections a member must have attended a minimum of 2 board meetings in the past 12 months 2. Policy change: The policy on pets has been amended to allow pets in the period sutler area subject to some basic restrictions a. Must be kept in the back or living area b. Must be on a leash or in a pet container at all times c. Must not be accessible to the general public 3: Policy change: In the Infantry safety rules the part about “percussion weapons only” has been removed so as to allow for flintlocks, which were in heavy use, especially early in the war. Also the sentence prohibiting “M-16s, rocket launchers, surface to air missiles etc” has been replaced with a simple “no post 1865 weapons, including modern conversions” This means, as an example, no 1860 Colt or Remingtons with modern conversion cylinders designed to fire .45 caliber cartridge ammunition.
