MCWRA Calendar of Events –2008


Next Board meeting is Saturday, May 31, 2008 in the basement of the State Capitol in Jefferson City. General meeting at 10 a.m.

Early American Militaria Indoor Swap Meet and Sale.  February 23, 20087, 9 a.m – 3 p.m. at US Grant shelter at Jefferson Barracks.  All time periods Rev War to WWII.  Booth space $15.00 per table, $10.00 each additional table.  General admission $3.00.  For info call Larry McDaniel 314 631-6746 or larry.mcdaniel103@att.net

NOTE: MCWRA is in receipt of a letter from Brent Paschall, coordinator for the Daniel Boone Home event advising that he has withdrawn his sponsorship of the event as a result of the home announcing that they plan to charge   reenactors  $5 per reenactor for camping, $7.50 for use of a building, $15 for a “blanket spot” and $50 for sutlers.

Sep 20Tyro Lodge #12, A.F. & A.M. Open Air Degree.  This is a lodge meeting for all Masonic members of 3rd degree and above held yearly in the old long form style.  Food served all day. LATE ARRIVAL

June 20-22, 2008   St Joseph, MO  They are proposing a maximum effort type event for the next four years into the sesquicentennial in 2011.  To be held along the Missouri River.  Supported by Terrible’s Casino.  City of St Joe will spray for bugs.  Heavy television promotion and a documentary involving local reenactors will be shown Saturday night on a big screen tv for the reenactors.  Normal amenities (hay, straw, water, wood etc)  Website is www.stjomo.com.  Contact Jim Conlon at 816 26100704 or jimconlon@kq2.com
